 This
is the roof material with integrated photovoltaic power generation
system sought after fusion of roof and power generation functions
to the limit.
The system is made from amorphous thin film solar cells attached over
the corrosion resistance roof material and covered by fluorine resin
film.
The flexibility of the design and utilization of lightweight amorphous
cell in large scale system were highly evaluated.
The integrated roof is designed to match in shape, color, and performance
of the conventional roof material without solar cells.
Features of Equipment, Systems and Facilities
High flexibility in design
Solar cells and roof material are completely integrated to perform
excellent appearance. Its high flexibility allows various roof
forms (straight roof, arched roof).
Excellent roof performance
Strong against high wind and rain, and durable for long use. As
it is authorized with qualifications for fireproof performance
and fire resistant structure, it is applicable for any kind of
buildings.
Light weight
Lightweight and flexible characteristics reduce load to a building
in case of earthquake.
Easy construction work
Roof is constructed by the same procedures for the conventional metal roof. And
it doesn't require any special skills for solar cells. As the
installation work of solar cells will be done within the roofing
works, the construction period will be shortened.

Installation model
The photograph shows an actual installation of an arched roof
using "Flat 500".
Harmony of integrated solar cell roof and conventional roof shows
off the beautiful appearance.
About 100 systems were sold by the end of 2000.
