Features of Equipment, Systems and Facilities
Two-storied, steel-frame houses with 2-5 kW PV power generation system on the roof as standard equipment were developed and marketed. A flat roof was adopted to secure wide area for accommodating PV modules.
The factory production allowed reducing the cost of PV power generation system owing to collective purchase of materials and in-factory process work of components.
The house became hot-selling products, selling 4,500 houses a year.

Installation space secured by use of flat roof
The system is designed so as to utilize the roof space fully despite limited installation area and complicated geometry for generating power as much as possible. In this way, the system installation can be matched to the desired plan layout.

Cost down implemented by reducing number of work steps on site, with easy maintenance based on special mounting method
Both cost and price were reduced by collective purchase of materials and factory production with pre-arranged wiring and base reinforcement. The system is separated from the water-proof roof materials to reduce burden to the latter through the newly developed fitting mechanism to facilitate the maintenance.

Sunshine is received from all the directions, ensuring long-lasting exposure
Mounting on a flat roof allows to receive the sunshine from every direction. The tilt angle of PV panel is set to 10 degrees to collect more light for longer period, and to provide stable power output without being affected by the site orientation.

Good harmony between performance and appearance with 10-degree tilt
The panel frame is mounted on a flat roof at a tilt as small as 10 degrees, almost horizontal. The system is in harmony with housing appearance and street view without spoiling landscape.
