Features:Developed resource-saving 5.5 inch round square type cell with using efficiency of silicon (material of solar battery) improved by 40%. Efforts were made to improve appearance and construction features with a rooftop integrated array structure in which the solar battery module can also be used as rooftop material.

Features:Developed triangular solar battery module. Efforts were made to increase the power generation amount and improve design by combining and installing the triangular module with the current square module on the hip roofs with small roof area seen considerably in cities.

Features:Uses solar battery as power source for the heat-concentration pump to cut running costs to a great extent. Due to the adoption of a method which links the hot water tank directly to the tap water, high pressure is attained for hot water supply. Initial costs are also reduced by integrating the heat-concentration device and hot water tank into a compact size.

Features:Development of a general technology which replaces conventional gasoline and diesel automobile with compressed natural gas. With the technological development by this group, running certified by the Minister of Transport was achieved. It is now subject to the same level of treatment as general cars, contributing to the spread of natural gas automobiles.

Adopting this technology developed, at the moment 16 models of natural gas automobiles by 7 manufacturers are running as practical cars. Features of the natural gas automobile include small environment load because the gas emitted is clean.

Features:Solar power generation system installed at the Yagi-cho Yagi Junior High School. A solar battery with 50 kW power generation capacity is installed on the roof of the school building in the shape of an arch to enhance appearance. The town uses this system as material for teaching environment education to elementary and junior high schools. Efforts are also made to promote publicity by allowing tours for the mass media, administration, municipalities, people from companies, etc.

Features:The first district heat and cool system in the country using unprocessed wastewater as heat source. It is the only heat supply business using wastewater. As the heat source is unprocessed wastewater, it can be installed in the center of the city. Currently, it provides cold and warm water to the 126,000 m2 of Koraku 1-Chome area in Bunkyo-ku. The plans are to increase the supply to 280,000 m2 eventually.
3. Ecology Service Station using photovoltaic and cogeneration system

Features:Solar power generator and cogeneration system installed at the Plaza SS (service station) along the Ask Alps street in Kofu City Yamanashi pref. Provides all energy used by the oil station. The solar battery has a power generation capacity of 10 kW, and is used mainly for the POS of the oil station, PCs, oil supply pump transmitter, spare power supply for lights, etc. The cogeneration system which uses kerosene as the fuel generates 60 kW, used for the power and lighting of the oil station, while the heat collected is used for the air-conditioning and hot water supply.
